We offer one of the most recent advances in x-ray mammography at our office. One of the most recent advances in x-ray mammography is digital mammography. Digital (computerized) mammography is similar to standard mammography in that x-rays are used to produce detailed images of the breast. Digital mammography uses essentially the same mammography system as conventional mammography, but the system is equipped with a digital receptor and a computer instead of a film cassette.

Our convenient, in-house lab means you don’t have to go somewhere else to get your blood work done. Please check your lab benefits as your insurance may require a specific laboratory.
Allergy Testing
The Menopause Center of Oklahoma offers custom allergy solutions from United Allergy Labs (UAL). We test for the 50 most geographically specific allergens in our area. This is done by using a painless scratch test and the evaluation takes about 45 minutes with immediate results. In our office, we can do this on ages 13 and up. A UAL technician then develops a unique custom-formulated antigen that can help desensitize most allergy patients to many of the pollens, molds and other triggers that cause their symptoms. Injections are then learned to be given at home. The result is a more comfortable and better quality of life.
In House Counseling
We have enhanced our full range of services by adding Jan Kimball LCSW in November 2009. Her practice includes ages 9 and up, men, women and couples counseling.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound is a sound wave based diagnostic imaging technique used to visualize muscles, tendons and many internal organs with real time images. The size, structure and diameters of organs along with pathologic lesions can be obtained with great accuracy. Ultrasound has been in use for over 50 years and is one of the most widely used diagnostic tools in modern medicine. It is non-invasive and considered completely safe as it does not use ionizing radiation to obtain its images. It is highly useful in the detection of gynecologic abnormalities and can involve an abdominal (transabdominal) or vaginal (transvaginal) technique. The sonographic exam usually lasts just 5 to 10 minutes.
Urodynamic Testing
Urodynamics is a study that assesses how the bladder and urethra are functioning. This information helps the medical team determine a diagnosis and course of treatment for a variety of different bladder symptoms such as:
- Incontinence
- Urinary frequency
- Urinary urgency
- Painful urination
- Urinary retention
- Difficulty emptying bladder
A typical test takes about 30 minutes to perform. It involves the use of a small catheter used to fill the bladder and record specific pressure and volume measurements. This information is then correlated to deduce the appropriate cause of the patient’s urologic difficulty.
Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy
The use of plant derived hormones, which are molecularly identical to the hormones produced in the human ovary or adrenal gland. They include the 3 types of human estrogen; estradiol, estrone, or estriol along with progesterone, testosterone and DHEA. Either alone or in some combination these hormones can be used to safely address a woman’s menopausal needs. The individualization of therapy on a case-by-case basis is the key to developing a successful treatment plan.
Advanced Clinical Testing by Spectracell Laboratories
Micronutrient Testing
Nutritional status is a vital foundation of health and chronic disease prevention. SpectraCell is the only company that can measure 33 functional levels of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and amino acids within your white blood cells. 50% of those currently taking supplements have had deficiencies.
Lipoprotein Particle Profile™ (LPP™)
Standard cholesterol testing only gives you part of the picture and people with “normal” cholesterol numbers are unaware they are at risk. SpectraCell’s tests accurately assess your risk for heart disease by measuring the size/density and number of your LDL and HDL lipoprotein particles.
HS-Omega-3 Index
This test determines the patient’s risk for sudden cardiac death (SCD). An adequate level of the omega-3’s EPA and especially DHA can reduce this risk by 90%. The HS-Omega-3 Index measures the percentage of EPA and DHA levels in red blood cell membranes (RBC’s) which are highly correlated to myocardial membrane omega-3 levels.
